About The Work
Variations on a Theme was created for For The Love of Comics Volume 3, a local youth comic anthology where participants create a comic from scratch in a 8 week timespan. While I ended up running a few weeks over for my entry, my work was created in time to be published in the anthology- you can learn more and buy a copy here!
The comic loosely follows the story of Girtholomew, a dragonborn cleric I played in a 5e campaign with my close friends. He's my favorite ttrpg player character, and with the campaign coming to a close at the time of the comic's creation, I thought it would be a great opportunity to pay homage to this character who meant so much to me and to immortalize a little bit of the story I told with my friends.
